Meet Dr. Jennifer Schell
Schell Wellness Founder & OBGYN Doctor
Hi! I’m Dr. Jennifer Schell, a pioneer in postpartum care with over 15 years of experience as a board-certified OBGYN. Since 2019, I’ve dedicated my practice to supporting women during pregnancy and the postpartum period, believing that women deserve comprehensive care and support. With me, you and your partner won’t need additional classes or consultants—I’m your one-stop shop for all your postpartum needs.
Born in Miami and raised in Puerto Rico, I speak both English and Spanish. After graduating from medical school Summa Cum Laude, I completed my OBGYN training at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, one of the most competitive residency programs in the nation. I now live in Miami with my husband, Andrew Schell, MD (ENT), and our three young children.
Having spent over a decade in private practice, I witnessed significant gaps in postpartum care. After experiencing my own struggles with infertility and miscarriages, I felt the overwhelm that many new mothers face. This journey inspired me to leave private practice and focus on empowering women with the extra TLC, information, support, and planning they need to thrive postpartum.
Although I won’t be treating you as my patient, my medical knowledge adds another layer of protection, especially since women often experience complications during the postpartum period. I firmly believe that most postpartum mood disturbances can be prevented with the right resources. Through my work, I aim to ensure every woman feels supported and understood during this transformative time.
